A collaborative workshop recently organized by the DAD Center and the Institute of Peace, Water, and Environment at Mogadishu University focused on the crucial issues of climate forecasting and emergency preparedness. The event brought together experts and participants to discuss the unpredictable nature of weather patterns and the essential strategies for preparing for climate-related emergencies.
During the workshop, experts emphasized the importance of understanding the complexities of weather unpredictability and its direct impact on communities. The session highlighted the need for practical measures to effectively respond to climate emergencies such as floods, droughts, and other extreme weather events. By offering insights into climate forecasting and risk assessment, the workshop provided participants with the knowledge to make informed decisions and take preventative actions.
